All of creation is vibration - energy. Sound is a bridge that connects dimensions, linking everything that exists in physical form with the intangible and the source of all creation, absolute consciousness (Source, Creator, God...). Energy is always vibrating, and sound is always present, moving from the echoes of silence into audible sound and back again.

Sound can release energetic blocks and transform the emotions, thought patterns and molecular structure of our bodies. It also facilitates our connection to absolute consciousness, or source. The most effective way it functions for healing is achieved through certain frequencies that influence our brain chemistry to promote altered states of consciousness that allow us to access and transform limiting emotions and beliefs.

Each tone, or sound contains within itself vibrations, called harmonics or overtones that are not commonly heard. These are mathematical multiples of the original vibration. Each tone uttered continues into infinity through the structure of harmonics, moving beyond auditory range. Humans hear sound vibrations on average between 15,000 to 20,000 hz. Sounds with audible overtones, where the fundamental note and overtones are heard are particularly healing.

Sound vibrations affect the physical shape of all things and carry with them the vibrations of consciousness. This is central to creation myths throughout the world that tell of speaking and singing things into existence.

Resonance is the property of sound that amplifies the vibrations of the same frequency in beings and objects. It is through resonance that sound can create and destroy physical form. Sound combined with intention can therefore be used to create harmony or disharmony.

To quote a Tibetan lama: "Sound is produced by all beings and all things, even those which appear to have no soul. Every being and thing has its own sound, but this sound changes depending upon the state of the being or thing producing the sound at any particular moment. Everything is a collection of atoms which dance and produce sounds by their movements. Every atom ceaselessly sings its song, constantly creating coarse and fine substances. And just as there are creative sounds, there are also destructive sounds which cause matter to disintegrate. Anyone who can produce both sounds can create and destroy at will..." Science proves that sound alters the molecular structure and shape of objects. Hans Jenny, Tomatis and Tesla are some of the leading contributors to this field of research. Dr. Emoto's more recent work with water crystals represents the vibrational effects of prayer and intention on physical form.

The vibration of source is found within all creation, including ourselves. To be in harmony means to resonate with this fundamental vibration. Sound can be used to bring us back to our original vibration and restore the natural frequencies of our bodies on all levels- physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Through harmonics we can more easily release the patterns of fear that interfere with our natural state of being and align with the infinite support of creation.
